On my 2007 Ford Fusion which I have owned since 2015, whether stationary or in motion the sun visors will not stay in position and will droop, causing road visibility issues, making it difficult to see the road or block the sun properly. It has been an issue since the car was purchased.
Driving to work on date mentioned sounded like a shot gun went off in the car, my rear window shattered! I paid $285 to have it replaced! upon removal of shattered glass the repairman noticed that my rear defroster electrical connection had melted and therefore was the culprit! it overheated and shattered the rear window!
The contact owns a 2007 Ford Fusion. The contact was driving 60 mph when the sun roof became detached from the vehicle. The contact pulled over and was able to retrieve the glass. The vehicle was not taken for inspection or diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 164,000
