The contact owns a 2006 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that they were unable to remove the key out of the ignition. The ring around drive shift was broken and gave the appearance that the vehicle was in park when it wasn't which also made it impossible to remove the key from the ignition. When the broken ring was removed, the contact was able to remove the key from the ignition; however, the transmission continued to malfunction. The vehicle had not been inspected at the time of the complaint. The VIN was not available. The failure and current mileages were 50000.
