After nearly crashing two times now in the rain, I have to express my dissatisfaction with Ford for not providing ABS brakes as a standard equipped safety option on most 2006 Ford Fusion SE Vehicles. Ford should have a WARNING LABEL on the dash informing drivers that the vehicle is NOT EQUIPPED with ABS at Minimum. I purchased this car under the assumption that ABS was a standard feature. My car has side airbags and curtains but NO ABS.
It's unbelievable Ford would cheat people by doing this to save a few dollars. I purchased this vehicle for my teenage son, and I will not allow him to drive this car because the braking system is 100% UNSAFE IN THE RAIN under moderate to heavy braking. Now I have to sell it and disclose to the buyer that the car is lacking an important safety feature (ABS). Ford should be held responsible and retrofit these Ford Fusions or buy them back.
