intermittent and frequent short circuit of dashboard
While driving, the dashboard gauges will intermittently all drop to zero and random lights will come on or go off on the dash. Each episode lasts between 1 and 30 seconds. Could happen on short trips, long trips, several times in just a few minutes, or once every 30-40 minutes.
There does not seem to be any trigger for the events - no bumps, changes in driving (starting/stopping/accellerating) and cannot find any action that prevents it. I have not taken it in for repair at this point since (a) it does not seem to cause any unneccessary issue with driving the car; it does not last that long per episode; and the cost of diagnosing electrical problems is expensive.
Any one else had similar dashboard issues?
