The contact owns a 2007 Ford Freestyle. The contact stated that while driving approximately 5 mph in reverse, there was an unexpected increase in acceleration without warning. The brake pedal was depressed several times before coming to a stop. The vehicle was taken to three different independent mechanics and they were unable to duplicate the problem. In addition, the contact stated that all four power door locks failed to lock. The manufacturer was not notified of the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 87,000.
