This has been an ongoing problem with this car. Rear wheels will not stay in alignment. It's not abused in any manner, but the toe-out changes and it just cupped another set of back tires. I just replaced the rear struts myself (a terrible task on this car) and found out for myself what a miserable excuse for a suspension Ford put under the Freestyle. It's a bunch of random parts flying in formation. It's obvious that compromises were made (bad compromises) to make components work for both the all-wheel and front-wheel versions. The toe-in/toe-out arm is flimsy looking piece of stamped sheetmetal, so I can't see how alignment can stay straight. Also, I could not replace the resilient shock mounts on the rear because upper shock mount housing removal was blocked by the frame. Ford brags about quality engineerig. I don't think so.
