This problem has become a nightmare of us. I am not able to use my 2006 Freestyle Ford at all because of the tightness of the steering column. We took it to our mechanic and was told that there is a national problem at this time with so many cars having the same issue that we have to wait at least two weeks or more before the part comes in to repair this problem. Sounds to me that this should be a recall issue. The Ford is sitting now and will do so until it is repaired.
