The contact owns a 2006 Ford Freestyle. While backing out of the driveway, the vehicle accelerated when the brake pedal was depressed. There were no warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for inspection and they stated that the failure was contributed to the egr valves and throttle body. The repair part was unavailable due to a massive back order. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 52,000 and current mileage was 60,000. Updated 10/06/09. Power steering pump replaced for noise. Throttle body replaced for surging condition, also reprogramed PCM updated 10/08/09.
