Really loud noise when in drive or reverse. Wrench light comes on. It won't hardly move at times I have to pull over turn it off wait a couple of minutes start it back it then it will go but the noise is always there.
The noise started softly and grew louder. It sounds like my engine is running without oil.
I asked two different mechanics about it and they said it was the trans and to see what Ford will do for me and if need be, come back to them.
The noise makes heads turn. People think I am driving it without oil. I only used it for short trips, until I got a small car I have running again and gets better mileage. Since the warranty was only three years and right now money is tight, I haven't gotten it fixed.
For 4 years I have complained about hard shifting in gear and loud whining noises from the cvt transmission. Today 06-20-2009 I went to the dealer again about the problem because of a check engine light. The dealer told me that the problem was my throttle control assembly and it would stop the winning and hard shift. This repair is about $500.00 and not covered under my extended warranty. My factory warranty expired in jan 2009. Whats with that?
