We had our Freestyle for almost 3 years and really loved this car. The rear brakes were replaced about a year after we got the vehicle. I was driving to work one morning and went to stop at a red light, well the brakes were just pulsating, and not engaging. I slowed down, but never came to a complete stop and hit the rear of a Dodge Truck. The impact was at about 10 mph, not too bad, I wasn't really injured, just neck issues, but we decided not to get the vehicle fixed, and the insurance totaled it out. I just wish there were something I could do to prove that my brakes were not working. I am so happy that I wasn't on the interstate going 75mph, or it could be a completely different situation. I just want other Freestyle owners to be aware of this problem, and hope nobody gets hurt.
