The alternator appears to be overcharging, and connecting wires that run to the battery cables are warm. It melted the plastic off the wire that is plugged in to the alternator. This is the second alternator that we have had on this car in 3 months. The only thing I can think of is to replace the alternator and wire. Why hasn't this crappy van been recalled if it has all these problems?
