Add me to the list of owners of a failed transmission on a 2005 For Freestar. My wife was driving and with no warning lost power to the drive train. The engine and everything else kept running, it just coasted to a stop. No gears engage. Took it to my trusty mechanic and yep, $2500! right before Christmas! I called Ford Customer Service (Complaint) Center and they have no customer satisfaction program to address this. They just said save my receipts in case there ever is a recall.
