CarComplaints.com Notes: The Freestar was introduced in 2004, but it was essentially just a rebranded Windstar. While there was a redesign of the interior and exterior, the Freestar still inherited some of the design flaws of its predecessor.

I think it stinks I thought Ford was a decent van but with the sub-frame rusting out I’m like a lot of people out there single parent and not able to buy a new one. So I think hey need to do a recall on the sub-frame because I’ve seen 60 other people who have complained. I had to have my transmission rebuilt because I ended up with water in the transmission. That was last year. So I think Ford needs to repair the sub-frame.
