We bought Ford Focus 2014 last November 2013 after purchasing 2012 first one week before. We trade in my Kia Borrego 2009. I needed something with good mileage, since I drive most of the day 7 days a week. I find a Focus 2012 and really liked it, so we trade in. After 6 days the car broke down on us on the road, we took it in and they said, it was safe to drive, but that we need to wait 6 weeks for new part to come in, they said there was transmission leak and clutch leak and that they need to put new clutch in, I didn't feel safe to drive that car with 3 kids and didn't want to deal with that after week of having it, so we got 2014 sense they told us 2014 are fixed and they do not have transmission problems anymore.
We had this car for about 10 months and we start having issues when we hit 12000 miles, brought it in, and same issue as 2012- transmission leak, they fixed it and not even 2 days later I start having issues again, they told us it will take 6000 miles to learn how it should drive again, after 5 days I couldn't take it anymore and called back, they tried to tell me its normal, I said No it is not normal, so they told me to come in for test drive. Well sure enough their test on clutch with norm 200, was 625 and my clutch had to be restored, they also find clutch cylinder to be leaking, they broke my starter so that had to be replaced as well. I sure hope this problem won't be repeating over and over!
