- Summary
- SOME 2016-2017 FOCUS RS VEHICLES MAY EXHIBIT A MESSAGE DISPLAYED IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) THAT STATES DRIVE MODE SELECTION NOT POSSIBLE. DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) P26FE MAY ALSO BE PRESENT IN POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) MEMORY. DTC P26FE IS SET WHEN THE PCM IS UNABLE TO COMMAND THE TAILPIPE ACTUATOR TO MOVE. THIS CONCERN MAY BE CAUSED BY LOW TEMPERATURES (BELOW FREEZING) WHEN STARTING THE ENGINE. AFTER ABOUT 180 SECONDS, AND A KEY CYCLE, THE SYSTEM WORKS AS DESIGNED. THE ISSUE IS CURRENTLY UNDER ENGINEERING INVESTIGATION, DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY REPAIRS AT THIS TIME. MONITOR OASIS FOR FUTURE UPDATES.
