The contact owns a 2017 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while making a left turn, the vehicle stalled. The contact tried to restart the vehicle and it stalled again. The vehicle was pushed off to the side of the street. The vehicle was put in neutral and pushed to the contact's home closely. The contact called the manufacturer and they arranged a tow to the dealer (uptown Ford Lincoln 2111 N mayfair rd, milwaukee, wi 53226 (414) 771-9000) but they refused to do the repair that had to do with NHTSA campaign number: 19V515000 (fuel system, gasoline) because the vehicle had a minor crash six months earlier. The dealer stated that the crash was the contact's fault and the reason the computer software malfunctioned. The manufacturer called back to deny the contact's claim. The manufacturer researched the issue and had the vehicle towed to another dealer who stated same as the first dealer that the vehicle was not covered under the recall. The upper management of the second dealer denied to do the recall repair because the manufacturer would not cover the repairs. The manufacturer finally sent an email denying the contact's claim. The failure mileage was 47,000.

When accelerating, typically from a stopped position but not exclusively, the transmission shudders. This started happening at about 20K miles and I'm told by the Ford dealership "some shuddering is to be expected & cannot be repaired". I disagree. This is not to be expected as no other vehicle I've owned did this unless there was a mechanical problem.

The car has had multiple fuel malfunctions. The first one was the purge valve which I replaced. Now the car is throwing a code for a fuel rail low pressure and stalls out in the middle of driving even when I'm on the interstate. This is very dangerous and I've noticed Ford has the recall listed on other models of the same year but not mine.

User had a quarter of a tank of gas before heading home. Shortly after, user started the car and it stalled. User did not think much of it. User shut it down and turned key to the "on" position and the check engine light turned on. The car turned over and worked. Shortly after, user was driving car down the road towards his house and the engine stalled. Systems and electronics screen were on, but everything else glitched and nothing really worked, the car torque steered the user into oncoming traffic lane. User had to use E-brake to properly slow down and pull to the shoulder of the road and turn key all the way off into the "off" position. User waited 5 minutes to ensure all systems were shut down, and started car back up again to safely drive the rest of the way home. User has extended warranty and will immediately have dealership look at vehicle.

While driving to work as I pulled out of my neighborhood my rpms began began do rapidly bounce between 0-6 and the gas pedal didn't respond to anything like the engine was not receiving enough fuel. I stopped the car, in the middle of the road, put in park and the engine returned to a normal idle. I began to continue driving to turn around come back home worried about this issue. About a half mile later the engine completely stalled on me in the middle of the road. The car would crank with no start. This is a huge safety concern. I had to have my car towed to the local Ford dealership at beach Ford in Virginia beach, va. After their testing I was told that the fuel pump driver module (fpdm) needs replaced and that the part is backordered with an estimated delivery date 2 weeks out. The car only has 23,500 miles on it. There's no recall at this time for Ford Focus stalling issue while driving which is a huge safety concern for a vehicle to stall while traveling down a road/highway. That fact disgusts me because it is a known and reoccurring problem and nothing has came of it. I also find it interesting that people with the same issues here were recommended to replace different parts. I'm curious to see if this fpdm will solve the problem of stalling in the middle of the road.

II took my car in to the dealership when I received my recall on my vehicle. I was then told by the service manager that they could not fix it due to the fact that the recall part has not start to go out yet.so now the car recall problem is causing problems now. So I took it back to dealership and was told they was not going fix it because the recall had expired now. Mind you this is my only transportation and I am a single mother with a precious 5yr. Daughter that I have Transport in this car. So can you please help me with my car I do not want to broke down on the dangerous highways and roadway with my family in this car. Help help help please and thank you!!!!!! I was at the gas station getting gas and the car cut off. And the recall has something to do with the fuel tank deformation. I spoke to the service manager, his manager and the GM manager at Ford. They told it was nothing they could do. And I to fix it my self.

2-9-2020 received NHTSA tracking# 11308051 I have not heard back on the matter, Ford recall 18S32 car was "only re-programmed" 12/2018 parts were not available at that time, Ford never sent a letter stating parts were available the faulty purge valve was not replaced causing the car still to continue having issues 11/21/19 received email stating "if your vehicle was previously included in a recall for which you have received the remedy for but you are experiencing a failure with your vehicle that relates to the previous recall, you may file a complaint regarding your failure and referencing the recall. If you are interested in filing a complaint you may call our hotline at 1-888-327-4236 and a customer service representative will be happy to assist you" Ford has acknowledged they can not do anything "since the car shows it was repaired under the VIN#" (re-program only)the stuck purge valve and plastic gas tank which now has been deformed due to the stuck purge valve is the only and proper way to fix Ford defective engineering issue. Ford needs to step up and repair the car properly under warranty, not walk away with a so called fix by re-programming the car. My car has a hard time shift automatically and makes a grinding noise and vibrates when shifting gears. It also falls out of park a lot when on an incline and starts to roll backward. I nearly hit a car behind me because of this and the incline wasn't steep. I found out that the 2016 models had the same issue because of the dsp6 transmission. I also have issues with the evap canister now which is causing my car fuel emission issues and performance.

After I have put gas in my car and try to turn it back on I have trouble trying to turn it back on. It doesn't want to crank back up. If I leave it running while I am getting gas, it revs up, then shakes like it will shut off. When I leave the gas station my car feels like it is stalling and might shut off while I am driving.

Recall 18S32 I am responding on behalf of [xxx] who has been my sons girlfriend for 16 years. The car was taken to colley Ford, 1945 auto center dr. Glendora ca December 19,2018 for the recall. Colley Ford stated they can not repair the car under warranty since under the VIN it shows a repair was already done. To date Ford has not sent [xxx] a parts are available notice. Our car was looked at July 2019 and the recall was not fixed but they knew about it from your records. And we have been having trouble on accelerating spitting and sputtering and today me and my family were out shopping and we were driving out of the parking lot and the car just would not go the gas was not working we couldnt move and we turned it off and starting driving again and the same thing happened and the check engine light was on and it wasnt on before this. I am very mad that this recall was over looked because my familys life couldnt had been taken if this happened on a freeway or interstate. So we had to pay for a tow to the dealership johnson city Ford, tn 37602 and they were closed today but tomorrow I am going to confront them about this and im reaching out to U guys to insure this will get fixed of no charge and fixed right! thank U.

There was a recall 18S32 campaign fuel tank deformation issued late 2018. The PCM system was not adequately detecting a stuck open canister purge value. On August 24th, 2019 I took my vehicle to get the recall repair due to stalling without notice and dangerous in drivability concerns. On August 25th, the following day, I had the very same exact symptoms. I took it to pepboys to diagnose, and the same codes were populating for the recall. Pepboys advised to take it back to a dealer. I then took it to another Ford dealership on October 22nd for a second opinion, and they stated that the canister purge valve was sticking. On October 24th, the vehicle was returned back to me and within a couple of hours same symptoms. On Nov 5th, 2019, I was advised the canister purge valve was replaced after the parts were on bo for 2-3 weeks. However, car started driving the very exact way followed by service engine light and transmission overheating warning. Additionally, the car did not accelerate when attempting to make a left turn and a diesel had to swiftly hit on their breaks to prevent crashing into me. The vehicle was returned back on the 8th of November, however, dealership stated they were unable to duplicate concern. On November 13, the vehicle was picked up and on November 14th I had to take it back due to the same issues. On November 30, I was advised that they notice a clutch slipping, vehicle rev high when trying to reverse or accelerate. However, vehicle operating as design. This is not the case. After 6 attempts in trying to rectify this issue, it is not. My safety is a concern here as the vehicle is not operating as design and currently remains as is.

On several occasions, my car will completely shut off. I then would have to sit a few minutes before I can crank it again. This has happened when I came to a stop at a stop sign and when I had stopped to turn in at a destination.I've also had went to crank my car after not driving for a day and it would not start at first. Then after a few minutes, it started. Each time it happened I got an engine fault message displayed. I have taken it to a dealership and they did not help. They said they could not duplicate the issue so they could not fix.
