CarComplaints.com Notes: For the third year in a row, the 3rd generation Focus is experiencing massive transmission problems.
Most notably owners keep complaining about how there's bad hesitation and jerking when starting from a stop. This isn't the result of an old, worn out part. In fact, the average mileage it's reported to us is just over 15k miles.

I was driving on the I4 Florida and the car in front swerved out of the way and before I knew it there was a chain or piece of broken tyre on the road that I drove over that destroyed my driver side rear tyre. I pulled to the side of the road and got out my jack and spare tyre. Jacked up the car and then tried to loosen the nuts. Problem was that the wrench my car was supplied with did not fit. I was lucky because I was next to Stingray Chevrolet and a mechanic helped me change my tyre. I then went to Brandon Ford to let them know the jack and wrench were not the right size and things could have been worse (my wife has a disability). They did not care and said they swelled and would need replacing at $7 a lug nut (5 per wheel).
My biggest gripe is that I get a regular oil change and tyre rotation and they must know they are sending me on my way with a wrench that doesn't fit the lug nuts.
