CarComplaints.com Notes: For the third year in a row, the 3rd generation Focus is experiencing massive transmission problems.
Most notably owners keep complaining about how there's bad hesitation and jerking when starting from a stop. This isn't the result of an old, worn out part. In fact, the average mileage it's reported to us is just over 15k miles.

The contour of the console has severely damaged my knee,,,,I have a slightly diminished feeling in my legs from a back injury, so I didn't feel pain until the knee became damaged,,,,it's the soft tissue....I have had an MRI and it is conclusive that it was caused by something pressing on and irritating my cartilidge and minicus....I tries using a small pillow, a rolled up towel and a foam pad....it only got worse....there are complaints on the internet of the same part causing discomfort and people with the particular length legs I have....the damage is EXACTLY where the console hit my knee........if Ford doesn't end up compensating me, I am going to file a product liability suit...not a lot though....medical costs, and a little pain and suffering...and not an outrageous amount....there is a LOT of pain and suffering...I will need an operation according to my MRI.....
