CarComplaints.com Notes: You should probably steer clear of the 2012 Focus. Otherwise, you might not be able to steer at all.
The 2012 is the first Focus to offer Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS). It's also the first year with massive power steering failure. These things are not mutually exclusive.
And while you wait for your steering to disappear, you'll be greeted with a transmission that shudders, vibrates or won't shift at all.

I was smelling fuel around my car for about a week. Could not locate it. Today I got underneath and touched a large wet spot on my gas tank. It was fuel. I had it put on a lift and this is what I find. From what I understand, the connection can't be repaired and I need a new tank because the tank might be cracked. Has anyone had a similar issue and do they know of a resolution that does not involve more than $1,000 to replace a 5 year old fuel tank?
