CarComplaints.com Notes: You should probably steer clear of the 2012 Focus. Otherwise, you might not be able to steer at all.
The 2012 is the first Focus to offer Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS). It's also the first year with massive power steering failure. These things are not mutually exclusive.
And while you wait for your steering to disappear, you'll be greeted with a transmission that shudders, vibrates or won't shift at all.

Every single year as Winter Season finally hits below freezing temperatures, My Emergency hand brake freezes. There's absolutely nothing to do about it. I even had it replaced last year. And it still does it. Best is to never fkn use it! One time it froze and had me drifting all the way to home through the snow sliding from side to side on the highway uncontrollably. It's crazy. Today my rear drums smell like they are on the braking point of glowing red... Yes it's stinks like ass!
