The vehicle was less than 4 weeks out of the factory when the oil-light came on. I checked the level & was horrified to find that it barely registered on the dip-stick.
My local Ford dealer has confirmed that it was "leaking like a sieve". They believe they have diagnosed the faulty component as being a seal in the vacuum pump & have placed an order but state they cannot locate a replacement locally &, so far, have been unable to confirm when delivery is expected.
