A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

I have a squeaky noise coming from the rear of my car. It kind of sounds like a cricket. It only happens when I go over bumps or over a patchy piece of road. It is extremely annoying and the dealership told me that can't find the source. Two other mechanics have told me the same thing. I don't know how to fix it! How is it that a certified Ford technician can't even fix my problem!

THE CAR SOUNDS LIKE AN OLD JUNKER... I HAVE HAD FORD LOOK AT IT AND ONCE AGAIN THEY SAY EVERYTHING IS OK. APPARENTLY I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE HAVING THIS ISSUE. MAYBE THEY JUST DON'T CARE WHEN A WOMAN PURCHASES A CAR. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY A FORD AGAIN.

Focus SES 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 12,000 miles

I needed a fuel-efficient 4 cylinder vehcile that I could use as a commuter car to and from work. I was in-between the Toyota Corolla S and the Focus SES. The Focus won my selection because at the time, Toyota was experiencing problems with a sticky accelerator. And, the Focus had more options, like the SYNC and leather interior. I should have just went with the Focus. At about 6,000 miles, the car started making the squeaking racket from the rear suspension. I ingored it, but it progressively got worse. Now that it's in the shop at 12000 miles, the mechanics at the dealer cannot find what is wrong with it. I've tried to trade it in and get the Corolla, but now, the resale/trade-in value on the Focus is just awful. So, now I'm stuck with the stupid thing. Ford may have their act together with the Mustang, their trucks, and possibly the Fusion, but don't trust any other models. Heard of the recent Windstar recall? My point exactly. BUY JAPANESE!

Focus SE 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 11,400 miles

Hasn't affected the way the car drives at all, but over bumps the rear suspension squeaks, sounds like it's coming from the drivers side. I've chalked it up to just being a Ford. it's not a Ford if it doesn't make noises. Love the car otherwise though.

Focus Coupe SES

  • Automatic transmission
  • 44,450 miles

Squeaking noise started in March 2010... every bump (doesn't matter how slight) causes the noise. It went away for awhile... just kind of quit... but it is back again .. won't stop. Anyone else have this problem.
