IT A PAIN TO GET IN YOUR CAR AND IT WILL NOT START

won't start. starter will not engage until locked and unlock

The car starter would not engage until I locked and unlocked the car with the car key FOB. I have had the problem for several months. I thought the battery might be failing so I bought a new one but there was no change. Sometimes the car starter will engage first try but sometimes it takes two or three turns of the starter switch to get it engaged, a little scary.
