Bought brand new. Shifted horribly, bad gas, gas cap ligh turned on. took back to dealer. they fixed the gas light. A few days later while driving, the ENGINE light came. Shifted and clunked terribly but could still drive. Took to dealer again, it was placed in garage for a week, run around, Dealer says they had to "consult" with Ford before fixing as this was a major $1500 component which monitors and controls almost all engine functions. It had coded out, and read as a failure.It was replaced, but I have heard numerous others with this problem, who's cars simply died while driving. Luckily mine did not. So far, it is working, and the new module fixed the clunky shifting, and the MPG is back to normal.
