This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
When I was driving, the car would lose power. Sometimes, it would just slow randomly, and many times it would just lose all throttle and stop. It happened on the highway going over 65 mph, on a busy street traveling 40 mph, and in the middle of a turn at a busy intersection. Apparently, this is happening to many Ford focuses (www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?T=271461), and something must be done about this. It is dangerous. Not only is it not covered under the powertrain warranty, it is $600 to fix! this is awful, and it should be re-called. Someone will end up getting killed, and Ford should be sued for their death. If this is happening to so many cars they should not pay to fix it, it should be recalled!
