My brand new 2009 Ford Focus SEL only had 483 miles on it. I had it just over 3 weeks. And then I noticed a fluid leak on the driver side of the car. It left a luncheon plate size puddle in the driveway. I took it in the next day to the dealership shop and the performed an oil leak diagnosis and found transmission fluid leak from the upper cooler line at the cooler. They removed the cooler line and found both inner o-rings cut due to a bur on the cooler. They filed down the bur on the cooler and replaced both o-rings. They then reinstalled the upper cooler line and rechecked. They and I have found no further leaks at this time. It was a pain to not have my car for a day, but it was worth having them fix it. It even runs better. The transmission is shifting smoother now. They promised at the shop - No more transmission problems. I will wait and see!!!
