CarComplaints.com Notes: Even though the first model year of a major redesign should typically be avoided, Ford did a good job & the 2008 Ford Focus doesn't appear to have any major defects.
That said, the following model years of this 2nd generation Focus (2009-2011) do appear to be slightly better.

I was driving in a snow storm & all of a sudden I heard a big boom & my rear windshield
was completely shattered!!!! If I would of had my Granddaughter in the back seat there would of been a major law suit because the glass was everywhere. Of course I called Ford & that has never happened before so they would not pay for it!! Seeing how many people that this is actually happened to it's a crock!!! I think Ford has a very big problem with all of there rear windshields not just the Focus!! Something needs to be done before someone gets hurt!!!!
