CarComplaints.com Notes: Even though the first model year of a major redesign should typically be avoided, Ford did a good job & the 2008 Ford Focus doesn't appear to have any major defects.
That said, the following model years of this 2nd generation Focus (2009-2011) do appear to be slightly better.

Car used to shake like a vibrator with rattling sound.. when initial starting and speed up to merge in a highway.. replaced two engine mount but noise and vibration was less but can be feel from inside. as advised from local mechanic changed the transmission mount bushing. problem solved. total cost about $375. thats suck. My other car 2010 yaris is 12500 miles on odo but never had this kind of problem
