CarComplaints.com Notes: Even though the first model year of a major redesign should typically be avoided, Ford did a good job & the 2008 Ford Focus doesn't appear to have any major defects.
That said, the following model years of this 2nd generation Focus (2009-2011) do appear to be slightly better.
For all the other problems that I have had with this car the Suspension has alot to do with alot of things that makes this car so messed up and continues to ruin all the repairs its because it is a darn manufacturer Defect !! I have owned alot of vehicles and this is the worse one by far My front end had been re over hauled and The rack leaked all the Fluid out under the drivers metal side and It couldn't be driven, I had to get a tow to the shop and the rack was ordered and put in and aligned and picked it up, one day home all the fluid again leaked out of the same side drove it quickly back and it was a bad seal thank god but this is the crap i'm taklking about it still vibrates bad and the tires jump it pulls to the right now really bad and sounds like flat tires when i drive, it bounces all over the road I understand that normal wear and tear to keep it maintained but I have over the amount of maintenece in this vehicle oil changes transmisison flush and tune ups but the replacements on this car are too much for the tire situation and what's next, I cannot afford this car because the repairs are more than the monthy repairs.. I totally hate this car and I'm probably one of the percent that did get sold a Lemon, even though it is economic on gas it has been a total pain in the ass !!!!!!!!!!!!
