2008 Ford Focus
This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Ford dealer.
CarComplaints.com Notes: Even though the first model year of a major redesign should typically be avoided, Ford did a good job & the 2008 Ford Focus doesn't appear to have any major defects.
That said, the following model years of this 2nd generation Focus (2009-2011) do appear to be slightly better.

At 6100 miles while driving on the freeway my gas tank fell out of my auto. I believe this problem is related to the earlier replacement of my fuel level sensor done at 2100 miles. I believe the dealer service department had a screw loose so to speak!. This was very disturbing to say the least!. The dealership sent a tow truck and repaired the tank. They also said We are sorry.
