CarComplaints.com Notes: Even though the first model year of a major redesign should typically be avoided, Ford did a good job & the 2008 Ford Focus doesn't appear to have any major defects.
That said, the following model years of this 2nd generation Focus (2009-2011) do appear to be slightly better.
The defroster in my Focus doesn't defrost the windshield properly. The last place to defrost is the area the driver looks out. The rest of the windshield will be completely defrosted but I have to wait for the area in front of the driver to clear up before I can start driving. I took it back to the dealer and they could not find anything wrong. They determined it was a bad design so I have put up with it for two years now. It is very annoying. I just came across TBS 07T08-S1 and I am going to take it to the dealer. I'll be interested in what they have to say.
