The driver airbag light keeps going off and on. I went to ford dealer shop to fix it. Only shortly after it came back on. I tried different tricks online and they dont last long. This is a common issue among ford focus owners. The connection plug from airbag to the steering wheel is bad and it just loses connection from time to time. Focus owners cant just DIY sensitive parts like airbag to temporarly fix it nor can we spend big bucks to visit dealersshop everytime. They charged me $140 just look at my car. And told me $700 for airbag replacement, when all that needs replacing is the faulty connecting plug. Ford knows this but is getting away with jeopordizing with customers lives for money. Please make this recall issue so ford will fix for all focus owners before people dies from this well known focus issue because the driverside airbag failes to deploy. Please.
The contact owns a 2007 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while his granddaughter was driving a vehicle cut in front of her. The result was that she broadsided the vehicle at 35 mph. The frontal air bags did not deploy on either the driver's or passenger's sides. One passenger was taken by ambulance with chest pains to the hospital. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a local junk yard and no estimate has been performed yet. The dealer or manufacturer had not been contacted yet. The failure mileage was 90,000.
The air bag light is on and come and goes this car has never wrecked or in any damage to it. Nothing was evectivted to make the light come on and stay on. I have been informed to get it relpaced asap due to the fact if can go out any sec. I am a single parent and can not go and replaced a part that should have no result from myself
In Dec. 12-23 a deer landed in front of us as we were driving on a on highway and going about 50 mph. Deer damaged hood radiator etc. Biggest concern. Both airbags deployed. The powder. Right after the initial impact I said open the door open the window cuz the dust was flying around the car and I believe I inhaled some in my throat up my nose that was really bad. The dust smells bad irritating eyes throat. As a couple days went by. Throat very sore coughing off and on. " the chemicals " toxin, , can they cause problems later. Inside both nazal passages very crusty and dried blood. Small skin burn on mid nose. Also headaches, feel dazed, hair and face had a weird smell, also severe ringing in ears. I am extremely concerned if this vehicle has had issues with toxic chemicals and what help can I get to resolve this and I am concerned. The police came rescue came we a grateful we were able to walk away but sometimes problems occur a few days later. I am extremely concerned about the respiratory impact and irritation if the chemicals can cause problems later. On 12-25-19. I just dont feel right. Headaches also respiratory and throat concerns.

I was going about 10 mph through a city street intersection when I ran over an uncovered water valve pipe in a depression similar to, but smaller than, a standard manhole well. Each left tire ran over the uncovered water valve. There was a loud pop, and I blacked out. The left rear tire had blown out after the left front tire sustained damage that resulted in a flat tire shortly thereafter. Also, the air bag in the left side of the back of the driver's seat deployed and hit me in the head, causing me to black out, and producing amnesia and other mental symptoms that lingered for several years. In addition, I suffered neck and back injuries from whiplash. The air bag should not have been triggered by an under-wheel impact at such a low speed.
While having tires mounted and checking the reason for illumination of the instrument panel airbag light the dealership discovered that my front passenger air bag was defective. I called Ford and was advised that my VIN number was not part of the recall and that they would contact me in 30 days
I have just acquired this vehicle in Oct or Sep of 2018. It has been a pretty good car up until now. The airbag light comes on and off intermittently and now the engine light is on. My mechanic checked why the engine light was on with his computer and has said it's a fuel issue. I take it back to him on Thursday to go over the fuel system and engine to better diagnose the issue. In the meantime, I've been looking up various complaints and issues with my 2007 Ford Focus and not stating the specific issues and the two main complaints and recalls that keep coming upstate that there have been numerous airbags and fuel system issues. These are both the issues I'm having. The airbags light keeps coming on and off without the system being reset. The engine light is on and hasn't gone off. It came on when my husband filled the tank up about 3-4 weeks ago. The only reason we've not had my mechanic look at is due to income. I'm disabled, my husband is in the process of retiring in September and he was injured on the job and has been out for about 5 months. I wouldn't have even looked on the internet to see if there were recalls but we're making a trip to durham in July and need a reliable vehicle and are concerned about the engine catching fire or not getting the fuel needed. Please let me know if this has been any safety issues with this make and model of car. Thank you.
I was turning left on a yellow light in a busy intersection during rush hour. The car opposite of mine was not paying attention and hit the bumper of my car. My air bag did not go off and my seat belt doesn't pull out the way it should now.
Passenger side airbag warning light comes on and off, but mostly stays on for a prolonged period of time. And for no obvious reason, it has been doing this for quite a long time. Being in motion or sitting still doesn't seem to change the pattern nor do rough roads vs smooth roads. Is this takata related ?
My airbag on the driver side went out the light is on and won't go out, also the power steering is going out the vehicle have under 90 thousand miles on it I have afraid to drive for those reasons it was purchased in 2006 new with 2 tens of a mile on it. I sent an email a year or so ago and never heard from you all. Can't afford to have it repaired airbag over $400 dollars and so is the power steering.thanks in advance.
Air bag indicator light on dashboard was intermittent at first depending on temperature and humidity, but for past two years it has been on constantly. Have checked wiring harness underneath front passenger seat since I was told it was a loose connection causing the light to come on. This seemed to fix the issue at times, but no longer does.
The airbag warning light for the driver's side airbag on the dashboard goes on and off and has been doing this for the past couple of years. (I am not sure exactly when it began, since when the light went off, I thought the problem was over) I have had a car repair shop try to fix it several times, but the problem has continued. The warning light comes on and stays on (in every season of the year) when the weather is humid or damp and goes off when the air is drier. The mechanics say the airbag will not deploy when the airbag light is on and that I have to replace the airbag at a cost of around $400. I do not believe it is a takata airbag, but am not sure. Still, it is defective and I think these airbags should be inspected in other Ford Focus models in which they are installed. Also the automatic door lock (locking from the driver's side front door) stopped working for the front passenger's side door more than a year ago. I now have to lock and unlock it manually from the inside, requiring the passenger to wait outside the car while I (driver) get into the car and unlock the passenger side door. This poses a safety issue for the front seat passenger.
While driving 70 on the turnpike the driver side side airbag deployed out of the seat without any type of impact or accident causing it to do so. The deployment caused numerous injuries. There are no signs of any damage to the vehicle that would have caused the airbag to deploy. Responding officers/deputies did not file a police report because there was no accident. The Ford collision center cannot find the reason for deployment and the sensor box is being shipped to Ford for investigation. The car remains I repaired.
The airbag light on the driver side came on and won't go out. Ford Focus 2007 power steering motor is going out. I had my car serviced in 2016 and found out about the power steering was going out. Thanks
The airbag light in the dashboard stays on all of the time. The driver and passenger seat belt comes unbuckled sometimes for no apparent reason, and has been doing this since I acquired the car in 2012.
The air bag light stays on almost all the time and the passager seat belt will come unlashed at times, this has happened more then once with in this last year 2016.
Side airbag, contained inside my seat on my left side as I drove, inflated suddenly and violently and unprompted by any collision event. The vehicle was in motion at the time, travelling 50 mph in a straight line in the center lane on an otherwise empty road.
The contact owns a 2007 Ford Focus. When the brake pedal was depressed at 30 mph, the vehicle continued to accelerate without warning. As a result, the contact crashed into the rear of another vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. After the failure occurred, the driver side air bag warning indicator illuminated. A police report was not filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 26,000.
