On or about 7/10/2007, my 2007 Ford Focus ZX3 (one week in service, 400 miles odometer) leaked an unknown quantity of fuel onto the floor of the attached enclosed garage at my residence. The quantity of fuel spillage is unknown; however, the fumes were so strong inside the garage, that they contaminated my clothing to the degree that a "gas smell" was noted by a tow truck drive three hours after I was exposed to the fuel spill. The servicing dealer say that the fuel tank was split along the seam of the tank. The servicing dealer is in the process of replacing the gas tank.
