The first time this happened to me I was coming off our driveway onto a highway in a snow storm. I could not stop the car and sped onto the highway amongst semi trucks and snow. I span out on the highway and managed to maintain control. I missed side swiping a semi truck by a few seconds. I have since realized the problem was Fords plastic throttle body, rather than the metal used in every other vehicle. SO of course replacing it, the piece can only be purchased through Ford at an extremely high cost. Way to go Ford making money off unsuspecting consumers......IF they survive your screwup
