This is for a Ford Focus ZX5 (4-door hatchback). At 90K miles passenger back door lock assembly broke and had to be replaced. Replaced under extended warranty and cost $90. Now the drivers back door lock is broken. It will not work manually or electronically. My children are able to open the door whether the car in park or drive since the entire latch and lock assembly needs to be replaced. This is definitely a safety issue. Paid for the door to be checked and the replacement part and labor is approx. $350. Door locks should never fail and in my case both back doors have failed.
The contact owns a 2007 Ford Focus. The contact noticed that the driver side floor and the rear driver side floor boards were wet. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that the floor board needed to be replaced, but didn't locate where the failure initiated that caused the floor board to be wet. The vehicle wasn't repaired. The failure mileage was 38,301 and the current mileage was 46,543.
