Started sounding like the muffler went out on New Years Eve 2006.
Mechanic can find no reason. Has changed muffler. Holding the exhaust pipe with in on the rack you can feel the vibration. Since 30-45 mile an hour in town driving is at just the right rpms to have you hear and feel it it bothers us all the time. Since it ran for 6000 miles ok something has to have happened.
On New Years 2006 we were going about 40 mph down the snowy road when it happened. The doors, steering wheel at 1,500 rpms vibrating. It was noticeable enough that we pulled off the road and I walked around the car to see what had made the noise. This ruins a great little car for us with 5 years of payments to go.
