I have a 2005 Ford Focus ZX4. It has always had an odd feature: When one checked the engine oil level with the dipstick, when you first pull it out of the tube it would not have any oil on it. Immediately sticking it back in and pulling it out would give you the oil level. Only now you can put it in, pull it out, put it in, pull it out, etc. and there is no oil on it! You can't tell what the engine oil level is anymore. What happened to it? The dipstick goes all the way in/out easily. Clearly, the dipstick is not going into the oil pan anymore, but why? How do you fix this?
