at 4800 miles we complained about the grooves in the rotor, grinding noise, dealer said it was ok. At 10,000 rotor were cut and pads replaced. Now at 12000 grinding is back as well as a new flopping loose noise in the right front which I believe is because rotor cut too deep. lemon law suit already filed. no one should wait to file.

I bought my Ford focus in 2004 in desperate need of a car after college graduation. I knew that buying a Ford would mean I was taking a risk, but I never thought it would be this bad. Soon after I bought it I had terribly squeaking brakes, i was told by the dealership this was normal. A few months later I noticed I had to push really hard to brake. I took it to Midas and my brakes were shot and the rotors ruined. The squeaking was not normal, it was my brakes falling apart! Be warned, the focus has issues. I have also been having issues with it dying while driving, much like the issues Ford had in 2000-2001 with the recall! I will never buy a ford again!

I purchased this vehicle in May of 2004. And of June of 2004 I've been in the dealership almost every 4,000 miles. The brakes don't last. I've spent countless hours waiting on the stupid car. Every other week I would take it in and they would tell me the brakes where cracked and I need to replace them. At first the dealership did it under warranty. Which I thought was very nice of them. Then after the 7th time they told me it was my problem and that it's my fault I don't know how to drive. I hate Ford I will not ever ever ever buy another ford again. I will also discourage anybody who wants to. They do not stand behind there vehicles at all. My car has also left me stranded twice because the brakes went out on it. The dealership won't even look at my car anymore and I have a 100,000 mile warranty. What good did that do. If you know anyone that has a ford please warn them about the brakes.....
