Ok, this all started when I started hearing a squeak in the car. (about 3 weeks ago) At first it was even when I started the engine. I brought it into a shop, and they said that I needed new front brakes and rotors. I got the work done. They said the squeak would go away. It never did. Then one friday after work, the car died at a stop light. I was able to get it to the dealership, just not really stopping.....ugh. or else the car would shut down again.

They got me a rental, and said that what was wrong was covered by the extended warranty. thank goodness! So, I mentioned the squeak and they said it was fixed. IT WASN'T! I brought the car back, and took the front end specialist for a test drive, so he could hear it too. It happens when driving 30 km per hour, and it has nothing to do when applying the brakes. But it's not all the time, when i'm going that speed. It's driving me nutty! When the car is on the lift, they can't get it to make the noise.

They have had my car for two and a half days, working on this squeak. The guy has been a mechanic for 30 years, and can't figure it out. They replaced some parts, under the extended warranty and THE NOISE IS STILL THERE! So, i've gotten my car back and they say it's "driveable" whatever.

I did notice that in the rain, it doesn't squeak as much, or at all. it's very faint.

So I've got to give them my car for another day. The thing is that they don't give rentals if they dont' have the car over night, so for the two and a half days, they had me drop off the car in the morning and pick it up at the end of the day. grrr! I work too far away from the dealership for their taxi cab vouchers to do any good. ($9.00! woo hoo!)

So I called them and all they said was to call the day before I want to bring the car in. At this point, I don't know what to do. I may go to other places and get an estimate. I want to make sure that the guy has enough time to "research" my car's problem and get the dang thing fixed!
