The side moldings are the pieces that protect the body against other car doors. One day, driving down the highway, the driver side one just fell off. I inspected the passenger side one and found it was loose.
Took it to the dealer and they replaced them under warranty. Good thing I got the extended warranty, as the mileage was over the standard 36,000 mile warranty.
