Consumer states that during a vehicle accident the front seat belts buckles will not latch properly causing injuries to the consumer. Dealer notified. Nlm
There have been problems with the rear/center seatbelt, the vehicle has been taken to the dealer on 5 occasions for various repairs but the problem still exist. Nlm
At 35mph, vehicle shuts off. Could have caused an accident. Cause unknown. Dealer notified.. consumer states the vehicle has been in the shop 7 times for the same problem, consumer complained of wind noise inside the vehicle, the seat belts were inoperable.
Rear center seatbelt will not pull out in cold weather. Dealer has replaced seatbelt 6 times with one of the same design. Did not remedy problem. Consumer was informed that this problem occurs when the rear back/back vertical seat support gets bent.
Ford Focus 2000. Facts about this accident include that the impact was head on with the damage to left front of the vehicle. The passenger, jacob, was belted, but the seat belt failed to restrain him. The air bag did not open until he hit the wind shield of the vehicle. When the air bags opened the steering wheel caught fire and burned..combustion was subsequent to the air bag opening and there was a great deal of smoke that the driver inhaled before the passenger in the rear seat, michael williams, got out of the car and put the fire out. She was trapped in the car by the seat belt, it would not release but it failed to restrain her and she hit the windshield..not nearly as bad as jacob, but it is broken. The steering wheel was burned. Michael saw some sort of sparks that he thought was from the seat belt.
Was traveling approximately 65mph when vehicle went out of control. Wheels had felt wobblely and loose. Had to swerve to miss several vehicles. Managed to get off freeway and stopped vehicle. Had vehicle towed to dealership. Was informed by mechanic wheel bearings went out. Dealership has to order parts. Vehicle was repaired previously under recall. Screws keep falling out of seat belt and has happened two times. Drivers side seat lever keeps breaking and has happened three times. Windshield wipers failed while driving during a heavy rain storm, received recall two weeks later, 01V258, dealer replaced wiper motor. Turn signal failed, dealer replaced bulb. Problems with brakes, rear drum assembly bearing wore into wheel spindle, front brake pads replaced, front rotors resurfaced. Consumer feels every bump in the road. Bearings have failed twice. Side mirror broke. A-pillar trim coming loose after recall repair 00S20.
Suspension is hard when driving, vehicle swings from left to right, and there is a rattling noise. Also, seatbelt on passenger's side broke, and when applying brakes, vehicle wanders to the left and right.
