I ran into a Chev Suburban that was stopped I was going about 40mph and did not hit my brakes. Wiped out the front of my car and the airbags never went off.I was knock out and did damage to my neck and lower back. The car was to be totaled but I decided since I just had Liability to have it repaired. That is when I found out there is only ONE sensor in the bumper on the right side. I have had the sensor tested and the computer says it was working. The Auto Body Man said you have to hit just right for the airbag to go off !? I'm like so many people out there that when I bought a car with airbags I was getting a safety feature !! Not, I have to hit just RIGHT !? I'm tired of Car MFG. Co. Miss leading us (look at Toyota). ONE SENSOR and YOU HAVE TO HIT JUST RIGHT. If they wanted it to be a safety feature Ford should Have put several in the front end. If not they should State how the airbags work and NOT in small print and NOT advertise them as a safety feature !

I totaled the car by missing a deer. My daughter was with me. We went from guard rail to guard rail and it took the whole front end off the car from the windshield forward, no front end left at all. We were on cruise control. The air bags did not go off. We are lucky to be alive but why buy automobiles with these safety measures if they are totally useless? You get ticketed if you do not use your seat belts which we had on but you automatically depend on the air bags to work even though you hope you never need them.
