While driving vehicle cruise control remained in an open position and failed to disengage. In addition, emergency brake release handle under dashboard came loose, and covered brake pedal which caused consumer to run a red light. Dealership has not examined vehicle. Please provide any additional information/attachments.
While driving with cruise control activated driver applied brakes and system deactivated. Driver hit resume button and vehicle unexpectedly accelerated to 80 mph. Cause unknown.
While driving on I275 nth I heard what sounded like the noise a flat tire would make.got off motorway to investigate, could find nothing wrong. Got back on only to find the car starting to pull toward the passenger side. Luckily I was near a rest area, pulled off. Only to find smoke pouring from the rear wheel. It had siezed solid. It was taken to a dealer, who fixed the following, drum&bearing cup, spindle, retainer asy wheel, rotor brake sk, cap rear wheel and the ABS sensor. Refused to check other side as that had already(much early been fixed under a recall) while their they did find the cause for the fuel smell inside the vehicle, in circuit 15rl3(gn.rd) @ C-87 terminal was not seated in connector, fuel consumption has improved from 28mpg to 31mpg. Local dealer and Ford customer service both told me my concerns with the other rear wheel and the engine due to it's consumption of unburned fuel(not to mention mine)were area's they will not check, even if I feel they are potentially dangerous to myself and any passengers I may have.
While attempting to back into a parking space the vehicle experienced sudden acceleration and hit a tree, there was no deployment of the air bags, the consumer sustained muscle strains. Nlm

When driving and upon exiting a parking lot by applying little force to accelerator pedal and quickly releasing force from the accelerator pedal, vehicle suddenly accelerated without prior warning which caused unwanted acceleration. Vehicle was placed in neutral in order to stop. Consumer noticed throttle body came undone which caused the problem. Also, there was only a hook attaching throttle.
Twice, while sitting at a stop light, the engine suddenly went to full throttle. Put car in neutral and shut off engine. On second occasion, car restarted on full throttle a number of times before successfully restarted on idle. Dealership can't locate problem.
While driving at any speed could step on brake pedal and engine will suddenly accelerate. Consumer has to step hard on brakes until stopping. Then, shifted gear to park and vehicle will start working as normal. The vehicle was at the dealer twice but the problem still exists.
Rear brakes would make squealing noises when stopping. Three different times fuel guage failed to register correct fuel. If air conditioner was on, a cloud came out of vents. Also, tape deck had an electrical short/ vehicle would vibrate while it was idling., and engine revved on its own. Vehicle felt like it was slipping into neutral.
Ford recall notices: 00S30 - speed control cable may be too long and prevent throttle from returning to idle. 00S31- vehicle may have insufficient wheel bearing clamp load allowing left rear wheel and drum assembly to separate. Are these the same items that are described under NHTSA campaign id # 00V218000 and 99V346000?
Front brake system failed, gave no warning from one moment to next the only thing we heard was metal on metal grinding. Dealership does not want to cover under bumper to bumper warranty. Because the inside pads were worn down to metal and the outter pad had worn down to about half wear the dealer told us it was "negligent abuse".this way it would not be covered under warranty.cruise control failed after one week of purschase took dealer over two months to call. Now keyless entry do not function. Dealer very evasive reguarding information available to us the consumer and now owners about recalls and customer complaints involving Focus.
Consumer was traveling 68mph set on cruise control. Cruise control was disengaged to slow down. After resuming the cruise control, vehicle began picking up seed to 70mph & fish tailing across the road. Consumer lost slight control of vehicle, traveling forward. Vehicle hit a concrete wall & was totaled. Invetigation is in process.
When applying brakes vehicle will accelerate in both drive and reverse gears. Rpms will rev up high, and sometimes consumer must shift into neutral to stop it. Dealer cannot determine cause.
Throttle does not return to the idle position which causes unexpected acceleration. NHTSA recall 99V346000/manufacturer's 99S35. Manufacture was not aware of the recall. Also, contacted dealer, dealer was unable to determine cause of the problem.
When the driver brakes the car while in cruise control it disengages, but when the resume button is pressed the car hesitates a fraction of a second and then surges forward dangerously as the cruise control yanks the car toward the set speed without gradual acceleration. Consumer drove Ford Focus to test the cruise control and found that it performed the same. Nlm
