Sync 3 navigation system and maps are dated. Ford HQ advises no updates available at this time. Customer service has no information and are instructed to refer person to dealer who has no better info. Maps are out of date. Ford suggests use Waze or Google maps, but this entails data usage. Not a huge deal in Province, but have to travel to U.S. a few times this coming summer, and suspect roaming and data will be higher.
Vehicle was bought brand new, and would have thought there would be an obligation to at least make map updates available.
I see from current co commercials that new Ford vehicles are tied to Waze. Suspect that there is no intention to update maps on the system bought.
In my view this can pose a safety/security issue.
I heard that manufacturers must keep a supply of parts for a certain number of years. Perhaps it doesn't apply here, but should
