Got in my car one morning to take my son to the bus stop. My car acted like it didn't want to start, like it didn't want to turn over. It did start but when I started driving and got just around the corner it stopped on me. I put it in park and tried starting it again and this time it would just crank but wouldn't turn over so now I am in the middle of the street stuck. A guy stopped to help me push my car out of the middle of the street and he looked at it for me and he said it was probably my fuel pump.
I had my car towed to the shop where it took them a whole day and they still couldn't figure out what the problem was. They were saying there was no power to the fuel pump. They called me the next morning said they figured it out it was the Fuel Pump Control Module and was going to cost me $315.00. What really upsets me about this is there has been a recall on this part but only for eco boost models, but as I have been looking online I see that all Ford Flex have had this problem - so why has there not been a recall for all models? This could have been bad if I was on the highway or a busy street or intersection.
