This car is only 2 years old. Granted, it has 53k on it, but it has been very well taken care of by myself. This issue of the screen not responding to touch is affecting the entire car. This is the central hub for everything from navigation, to bluetoothing my phone, changing the radio station or even toggling back and forth between fm/am/sirius, to the most import functions on the car which is the temperature controls that give air/heat the back seats, adjusts temps in the front and even powers the heated seats on and off.
This is not good and AutoNation Ford in Frisco Texas has not been very helpful other than saying I either pay $900 or I'm 100% out of luck since it isn't an issue with the modular device, just the screen. I explained the issue to Ford Customer Relations, and they had stated that it very well indeed was covered under the warranty and yet, the local Manager said that they were incorrect still. So here I am, one day from giving birth to my third child, staring at snow in the forecast in three days with no access to the temperature controls in the rear since everything works off of the touchscreen.
