So, in October 2019, our 2013 Flex is overheating and we're told by the Ford dealership the water pump needs replacing at a whopper of a cost, $1650. Now, other issues are emerging which I may elect to add, depending on if the Ford dealer says it's on us or on them. Our check engine light came back on December of 2019 so there may be more to come. The Flex is back with the dealer as I type.

Why was the class action case dismissed? A water pump that is located inside the engine and when leaking will ruin your entire engine without any warning? If your Flex is losing heat don't assume it's an easy fix. Your entire engine could be lost.
