discoloration around both head lights trim
When we purchased this vehicle it was new with 800 miles on it. The first time I washed the car I noticed what looked like rust on the trim at the RT rear molding around the window. Ford replace it with no questions asked. Then we noted the front two head light housing had the same problems so we took it back to the dealer for warranty. A engineer at the Ford Corporation denied the claim saying that someone had sprayed something on the headlights to make it turn a rust color around the trim. I asked the Ford dealership if they have a special camera or lighting used to take the pictures, they said no. I nor the dealership could see any signs of what the engineer was talking about. The Ford dealership made a good point, and asked me why did they replace the modeling with no questions ask but will not change the headlight assemblies? We think it was because the cost of each headlight is $1,300 a piece. Then the Ford dealership gave me Fords Customer Relationship Center (CRC) to pursue this issue. To make a long story short they could not over ride the engineers decision, I kept pursuing the issue, CRC had someone name Corazon contact me and reaffirm that they will not replace the headlights but might be able to work some kind of money deal but first would have to get with the dealership to figure out how much it would be. We never heard back from them again and they would not return the dealerships phone calls. So we again Emailed the CRC who connected us with a region service manager named Jeffrey Reed who now says he will cover 50% of the cost if we have the vehicle repaired. This will be a good will assistance! I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT FORD CORP WANTS THE CUSTOMER TO PAY FOR DEFECTIVE PARTS AFTER BUYING THIS VEHICLE FOR OVER $50,000. We are loyal customers, just the year before we purchased another Ford FLEX brand new for $48,000 now that's what I call Ford Corp providing outstanding customer service!
