Everything started to fail at 180k; at 201k the turbo started to whine. The next day I drove to the shop and by the time I got there the entire engine and exhaust was smoking. The mechanic said the turbo had most likely failed and had destroyed my engine. I still owe $6k on it, and they wanted a minimum of $6k to replace everything with re-manufactured stuff. I could not afford to replace it, and now I am stuck paying the remainder on a Flex that is nothing more than a hunk of junk worth a couple hundred dollars.
