I was moving into my new house. opened the back trunk area of my truck, I heard a loud POP and suddenly the back door came crashing down on my head. OUCH...luckily it didn't knock me out..realized that the left spring arm was taken out of the socket..this is the part that helps hold the door open. Took it in to dealer only to be told it would cost me $419. and it needed to be repaired by the body shop. OUCH..
I didn't get this fixed yet. No extra cash.. but is this a recalled part? They say that It snapped off and the part that snapped was wore out and stripped. its only 5 years old. how does that happen?
